I want to perform Hardy Weinberg Equilibrium test for killer immunoglobulin like receptors (KIRs). I think using this test for genes like KIRs is not true, because sum of the allele frequencies is over than 1, but in many articles this test have been used.
How can I perform HWE for KIR genes?

The allele frequency must sum up to 1 which is means 100%.
Many thanks for your answer. I have seen this page previously. KIR consist of 16 genes that some of these genes are positive in each person. These genes are independent and sum of the gene's frequencies exactly over than 1 or 100 percent while the genotypes sum up to 1 or 100 percent. In some articles HWE test have been used but I don't know how they had performed this test for their results?
You can apply conventional chi-square (χ2) goodness of fit test.
Use oege web tool to calculate χ2 value.
The Frequency of genotype AA referred to common homozygotes, BB for rare homozygotes and AB for heterozygote
Population with χ2 value < 3.841 are considered to be in HW equilibrium.
