I want to make a perovskite-based planar solar cell device.
(electrode/HTL/perovskite/ETL/FTO)
To fabricate the device, one electrode should be deposited on HTL and the other should be deposited on FTO. Can ETL be partialy removed? (position for electrode deposition)
Or, can the ETL be partially spin-coated? (Partly with tape..?)
SnO2 (15wt% colloidal dispersion purchased from alfa aesar) and ZnO (sol-gel method) are used as ETL.
If annealing is performed after spin coating, it cannot be removed with only solvent.
Any good comments would be appreciated.

The best solution is that proposed by Xuhua Wang
You can use Tesa Tapes to lift off the HTL from the part to ne uncovered for the God deposition. You can use also the selective etching proposed by Amol Chintaman Badgujar .
In this process you cover the top layer by the Tesa Film and etch the ETL by the the appropriate chemical solution as give above. In this case you do need to use and ear buds.

When you coat metal oxides nanoparticles on top of FTO substrates, the contact of FTO has to be kept clean with the protection from the coatings in order to connecte with the testing circuits. You could use some tapes. The type of tapes very much depends on the annealing temperature of the coatings.
As far as I understand from schematic, you want to make electrical contact for IV measurement. You can selectIvey etch ZnO layer by cleaning given surface using ammonia with the help of ear buds. ZnO easily dissolves in Ammonia solution (25% wt). For tin oxide, you can use dilute HCl or Formic acid using wet ear buds. It worked for me.
One can easily get cotton buds or swabs in any supermarket. Alternatively you can also use fine painting brush for small samples.

In the case of ZnO, it is annealed at about 300°C.
I have a Kapton tape, could I use it? Or do you have another tape to recommend?
And is it the right order for me to spin coat the ZnO solution on the substrate and remove the tape after annealing?
@Jaewon Oh Kapton tape should be fine to use covering FTO before spin-coating ZnO. You can remove the tape before the annealing. Hope it is clear. You could leave until active layers coated. Then take the tape off. Make sure the areas covered are the electrode contacts not close to devices or pixels. In case get shorts for the devices.
