I am simulating two part that contact together. I need to report the contact reaction force. I tried to output "RF" for the one node of contact area, but when I visualize them in Abaqus CAE, all values are zero.This is bewildering to me.
Can someone tell me how I can obtain the reaction force during the contact interaction?

When you create the model, you can ask for the contact force in the history output request. For example you have a general contact you can ask for the contact force selecting "General Contact Surface" under the domain in history output request. If you have other types of contact the request is different. Anyway usually the output variable is CFN
You first to into visualization, then XY plot>>select unique nodal>>select RF (reaction force)>>select that particular node by selecting in the frame>>and then click Plot..
It could be a problem related to the managment of the contact algorithm employed in ABAQUS, that does not "remeber" reaction forces for contacting nodes. Anyway, you could evaluate the stress vector related to the nomal unit vector n to the contact surface at the zone in your interest, by considering the resulting Cauchy stress tensor T. You may refer to the stress tensor at the Gauss points closest to the node of interest. Accordingly, the contact reaction force per unit area is t=T*n. Let me know. Regards

I think you choose a wrong node. The reaction force is obtained from the contact node. May the contact sufrace is between the rigid body and deformable body. You should choose the node rather than the node with maximum deformation or else, just the contact node. And then you select the RF in Y direction and you can do it in excel in Plug-ins.
