I am currently studying a particular gene and am interested in understanding its regulation. To proceed, I need to identify the promoter sequence of this gene and investigate which transcription factors bind to this promoter. Could anyone guide me on the best methods or tools available to determine the promoter sequence and the associated transcription factors? Additionally, any advice on databases or experimental approaches that could help in this process would be greatly appreciated.
Upstream region usually 1.5kb to 2kb of respective gene is selected for potent region of promoter and the cis acting elements or TFs binding sites can be predicted using Plantcare tool in case of plants
