I need to homogenize tissue for blotting. However I have a small amount of tissue, it is mice's Accumbens. I tried tissue homogenizer, but it is too big for my tissue. Using pipete it is not homogenizing well. I could only have a good lysate when I did with seringue. The problem is that I have 1000 samples, so it would be very hard work and without a good pattern among the samples. Someone have a suggestion?

ultrasonic disruption directly in the sample buffer (with SDS and ß-mercaptoethanol) is really the best way.
In my case I had few amount of sample as well. I put the sample in eppendorf tube together with the SDS buffer and used freeze-thawing method together with ultrasonic disruption. For this purpose you can dip eppendorf tube in liquid nitrogen for few seconds then take the tube out and rub it to thaw and repeat the process several times then use the ultrasonic disruption. This method worked very well for me.

For future reference, for applications involving very small pieces of tissue and requiring very high throughput, I would recommend a bead mill type homogenizer. There are a lot of models which can homogenize ~24 samples at a time, and some that can even homogenize samples in 96-well plates. Ultrasonicators (even with cup horns) don't have that kind of throughput.
