however ur question is not so clear, but if you mean u wanna get for example an element in S11 and S22 condition, thus, u can go to the ODB field out put and select the wanted elements by choosing once S11 and then S22.
then, go to "Operate on XY data and easily deduct the values from each other.
If I didnt ur question well, let me know to help u in case.
Click Tools>Create Field output>From fields and then define your expression. The new field variable will appear in a new ""Session step" in output base tree.
I do not agree, Niraj Kumar Jha. To me, the use of the UVARM subroutine corresponds exactly to what is asked (creation of a new field based on the standard field output stored in the odb file), not the USDFLD, but I may be wrong. Can you give more details on what you have in mind?
Thanks for your reply. As you said I can only create XY plot of required function and time step. But I want to create the contour plot of the function for all elements like von mises stress contour plot which will be created automatically in abaqus visualisation module.
1) I agree with Vincent, the subroutine UVARM solves the problem.
2) The suggestion by Ashish Kumar Singh works well for one particular increment. However, if multiple increments are needed, this could be a little boring.
Thank for your reply.I was able to create field output by operating on the stress field of different fields and different frames e.g s2f2_S + s3f2_S.But I want to create plot for expression given below
s2f2_S_S11+ s3f2_S_S22
when i tried to this, abaqus is saying s2f2_S_S11 is not defined.
