Am working on a project that needed me to generate one million records in a single table and i tried it on Oracle SQL Developer Database it truncated the inputted data, I also tried with XAMP server it was unsuccessful. Please, I need help. Thank you,
If you are using XAMPP (Apache2 and MariaDB for example), you can create a table with the required structure. When you said "truncated" you data... did you mean that within certain rows, a field's value was truncated or the number of rows (records) was smaller than expected? In case of the former, you might have defined the field as, for example, a VARCHAR(127) and some records had 200 character long values and so the database engine will just cut all after the 127th character. You need to analyse your data first and make sure that the table is defined in such a way that it's fields can accommodate all of your data in their maximum length or else some will simply not fit.
Also, in case you are using PHP to "generate" the data, make sure that you specify a long enough execution time so that the script that inputs the data into the table does not terminate before it manages to reach the millionth record. You can do this in CLI mode, which is usually configured in such a way that there is no execution limit.
One other thing. You need to make sure that you allow the PHP interpreter enough memory. If it cannot allocate enough memory to prepare the data before writing it into the database, the script will also terminate due to failure and, again, may not reach the millionth record.
Thank you very much for your help, I will follow your guide. But what really meant is the numbers of rows that truncated after inserting records (data), however, I will try Microsoft Access or go through my data structure as well
