I want to find the anodic and cathodic slopes of a Tafel plot, but I'm not sure about the range between the two green dots. How much should this range be (in mV)? How close should these ranges be to the OCP(peak)? Because I realized not all Tafel plots are similar to the attached plot.
I'm working on Copper plots.
Dear Ghazal Shafiee , by default the green dots are placed at +/- 80 mV and at +/-200 mV around the corrosion potential, because theoretically that is where Tafel behaviour is supposed to take place. But in your case it seems you would need to move the green dots on the cathodic part on the curve such that the calculated corrosion potential corresponds to the "true" corrosion potential.
