Could someone tell me which ABAQUS subroutine would help extract SIF values of a crack in XFEM method? Do I have to use different subroutines for a stationary and propagating crack?
Abaqus has implemented the interaction integral and J-integral for XFEM for stationary cracks; i am not sure if there are also disposable for propagating cracks, but theoreticaley they should also work.
recently I proposed a new theory for fracture mechanics. in this theory the SIF may be explicitly and exactly be computed for any specimen. you may refer to the NED University journal of research and look for paper titled " Benchmark equations for..."2014; XI(3) :29-37
You are really sure? I have the same problem with Abaqus 6.12-3 CAE. I want to get the SIFs of each defined loads step and therefore activated all fracture-mechanical results in "FieldOutput" and "HistoryOutput", but in "Visualization" is no possibility to get those results. Can you please give me an advice?
