My XFEM analysis in Abaqus has finally finished successfully. What can I do with the results? I do not have stress intensity factors or J integrals or anything like that. It just offers me phi and psi, the typical parameters of XFEM. I theoretically just can take the crack path, but I'd like to generate a N-a-diagram.

I am not sure about my answer and I ask others to comment as well on this.
The XFEM propagates the crack with pre-defined criteria, what I suggest is that like any experiment you will get load displacement for sure, from which you can calculate J , K or any other parameter.
If you are not happy with it, you may write your own damage with vumat and use element deletion for crack growth, generate your own post processing variables.

The value J is of course a path independent energy release rate. Maybe you are able to calculate it with the deformation energy of the whole model or something like that. I didn't try it and I shoud check the theory herefor, but this sounds a little bit too simple for me. I am doubting it, because this solution would be no problem for SIMULIA to implement in Abaqus.
Do you have an idea, how to extract the energy release rate of the whole model?

Sorry I have not worked in that part. but I think energy is a default output of abaqus, if thats true you may post process it.
Or you you may again calculate energy release rate from the out variables provided by writing your own code with field variables as your input.
can any one help me that how to plot the stress Intensity factor vs crack length in abaqus.
