first you have to wash your NPs with the Deionized water and ethanol to remove the impurities, then separate your NPs with the magnet in the plate and upside down the plate to remove solution and keep only the NPs. Now you can put it in to the oven at 40C during the night. Be careful not to increase the Temp since it will affect your magnetization.

The gentleman upstairs is right. You can also use centrifugal but magnet is apparently a better option. And you might also need to be aware of the oxidation.

I think temperature is the utmost important factor here.

There may be two drying conditions (air- and freeze-drying). Thermal treatment process may be required for magnetite nano-particles in the temperature range of 50–500 °C. Certain small quantities of magnetite Nano Particles can be placed in a vial with distilled water (may be 2-3 ml may be enough) and stir each vial in a vortex and later place in a magnetic induction heating equipment. TEM can be used further to characterize the effect of drying (morphology, shrinkage etc.) condition of nano-particles.

Dear Sirs,

I had made the magnetic nanoparticle solution by using FeCl3.6H2O and NaBH4. After the wash and heat in the oven, I used to dissolve the powders with water and take the FESEM image. But, I got the agglomerated particles. Can you suggest me the procedure to make the water-based Fe3O4 nanoparticle synthesis method to achieve particle size 10-20 nm?
