We extracted pulp from Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch. Now we want to dissolve the extracted pulp for electrospinning to produce nanofibers. I have tried many solvents include water, DMF, DMAc, Ethanol but non of them works. Is there any solvent some body know to dissolve the pulp and make the pulp spinnable? Thank you very much.
You can try with chloroform and with the mixture of chloroform and ethanol mixture,or more than two solvent mixture systems.Best of luck
Thank you for your answer dear M. Manirujjaman. Actually I tried chloroform and chloroform ethanol mixture but unfortunately it does not work. Still the pulp is not dissolving.
In the Palm Oil Industry are usual the use of hexane and benzol(more toxic) for different extractions.

Are only organic grease and oils at your target solution or what can define your target matrix to dissolve?

I have tried many solvent none of them work. The pulp dissolved but sediment after sometime.
this sediment is gross or fine, if you separate this sediment and observe it dry, what it looks like, grease or crystalline, try dissolving the dried sediment on ANOTHER solvent. Maybe you can try with a mixture of hexane and the ANOTHER solvent (for example mineral oil or a solvent in the direction of the needed characteristic for the dried material) and trying to match the mass ratios of soluble and dried material.
