I have bought ovotransferrin/conalbumin which is in the powder form. The recommended storage temperature is -20C.

What solvent can I use to dissolve and use it for cell culture purpose?

Can I dissolve them in DMEM?

What solvent can I use to dissolve and store them in the -20C freezer.

Can I use saline or Phosphate buffer saline (PBS)? or tris buffered saline?

Or any other suggestion?

When you buy such lyophilized powder, usually the supplier also provides you with instruction for their reconstitution. This is because there are different methods for lyophilization of proteins based on the type of work one wants to use it for. Contact the manufacturer and they will give you the instructions for reconstitution.
