DMF can interact with several polymers.

Do you know polymers used during your protocol?

Thank you for reading and getting back to me. I do not know the name of the specific polymers the plastics are made up, I know I used a 15ml falcon tube and another 15ml clear tube with a clear cap, this was the one that reacted with the DMF as it turned cloudy...

Have you tried to add DMF alone in these tubes?

Please, find attached chemical resistance polymers/solvents.

Plastic tubes are often made of polyethylene terephtalate (DMF incompatible), polystyrene (also incomp.) or polypropylene (DMF compatible).

Hi,

I know you posted your question a long time ago, but if somebody has similar issues, I'm puting it out there. I had a similar problem (and funny enough it was with the exact same molecule). What I did was that I prepared my intermediary solutions in DMSO (since DMSO and DMF are miscible) and then diluted those in RPMI 1640 (1% final DMSO concentration). I had no solubility issue.
