How can I develop a research design that focuses on the impact of brain drain among employees who are about to be promoted to the next managerial level on the strategic leadership development of the organization? It should be a quantitative type research.

The first step is to show from previous research there is a "brain drain" amongst these employees. Your intro would include background research on cognitive changes and the stress of going for a promotion or feeling anxiety about the promotion. I'm not sure at what point your subject will be - working toward a promotion or already told they have a promotion. Good luck with this research. work stress studies are valuable.
