Hydrogen atmosphere and Pd (5%) on activated carbon at room temperature without extra pressure in alkohol solution will cut out toluene, and obtaining of another by-products by redution in such mild condition would be minimisated.

If the hydrogenalysis influence the double bond and ketone, you can also try to protect the ketone by diancol then oxidation deprotection the benzyl protective group.

trimethylsilyl yodide in methylene chloride at room temperature (J. Org. Chem.42,3761,1977) might give good results.
