Dear Ph.D. I am pleased to be able to reflect on a topic that interests me a lot. For me, social responsibility is the response of the individual or a social group to the messages it receives from society in the form of social demands, moral demands, labor responsibilities, individual and collective commitments. These responses depend on the values ​​of each individual, on their commitments, on how they assume their responsibility before their corresponding roles in each society. Obviously, social responsibility has a class character, it depends on the belonging of each individual to a group, it works equally for social groups. The indicators to measure social responsibility are very diffuse, it is very complex to measure independently of the existence of social responsibility indicator systems both for the relationship between men and other men and with society. In my opinion, for each activity there are specific indicators, they must be developed for each activity and context. We can continue to exchange on the subject, I am very interested.

Social responsibility suggests that any organization has an obligation to act for the benefit of society at large. It is ethical issue, in which individuals and organizations are accountable for fulfilling their civic duty for the benefit the whole of society.

As we are from Rural Development that my cat if answering for your question might be partially different from the above experts.

CSR is obviously related to big companies can earn profit but they have no right to destroy the society or environment. Mostly, any MNC before starting that they have to conduct Feasibility studies how the future growth of the industries will be affected the community or society. The MNC have to get acceptance of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) approval by the Government.

If any damage occur on the society that those MNC are fully responsible to maintain the environment equally with Government. The environmental damages like pollution, chemical sewages, respiratory problems, health issues of the community etc have to be considered in CSR.

Whereas in the Rural Development the idea is to maintain the Common Property Resources (CPR) like lakes, land, schools buildings, community TV, libraries, road, Hospitals, electricity etc are the property of the Government and the people who are the final stakeholders to enjoy those resources finally for their utility.

In the concept of Social Responsibility here means that everyone has the right to maintain the CPR resources like our property. They have no right to damage those resources which belong to the society or community.

The successful rural development strategy emphasised that the people have to participate in maintaining these resource forever for future benefits and utilities.

I mean that Social Responsibility is the collective responsibility of the public have to save the CPR resources without any damage.

To encourage this concept of Social Responsibility that the Government can issue Award, Reward or cash prizes or any momentum to the particular community or society to encourage the stakeholders.

Some of the villages in India will not wait for the Government grant to repair or maintain the unfortunate damages in CPR resources unless it is big investment will cover by the Government.

What are Indicators for this Social Responsibility

6. Cooperation

7. Management

9. Accountability

These potential indicators can help to measure the interest, behaviour, attitude, knowledge and individual characters of the community.

We can say that the former MNC one is macro and the second one is CSR on CPR is the micro development issues.

Above all, the Social Responsibility is that individual as well as collective responsibility of maintaining the resources forever.

Due to pandemic man suffering insecure so why identity should be kept distinct within known periphery.
