I modelled the concrete reinforced with FRP reinforcing bars and I want to use nonlinear springs to connect concrete to bar. I read PhD thesis and he used JointC as nonlinear spring. I find JointC in ABAQUS manual, but I don't understand every thing. I tried to use connector by choosing transitional type: axial, then I choose nonlinear and uncoupling, and elasticity. I inserted the values forces and the corresponding displacements Which represent the characteristics of nonlinear spring. My question does define JointC is by using connector/axial? I am afraid I define JointC in wrong way, I tried to look for Joint C, but I didn't find it in abaqus, although it is mentioned in abaqus manual,

I am a little bit confused. If you need to model the behavior of bond-slip between the bars and concrete then why not to use connector elements instead of JointC ?
Yes I want to model the bond-slip between the bar and concrete. Do you mean that connector elements are not JointC? I want to use JointC as nonlinear springs, but I don't find JointC in abaqus, Please can you tell me where I go to define jointC.
Please use connector element from now on... ABAQUS has nearly abandoned the usage of Springs (SP1,SP2,SPA as well as JointC) I think that is obvious from now being fully supported by ABAQUS/CAE anymore..
on the other hand Connector elements are fully supported and thier multiple DOF interactions and behavior are becoming more and more versatile and comprehensive.
their usage on large scale within the model is still cumbersome but using Python scripts should simplify the process considerably..
