Even though mesenchymal synoviocytes display a lot of properties of epithelial cells in monolayer/ 2D cultures (while lacking desmosomes/ tight junctions). To that end I would concentrate on a cell culture model for psoriasis for which you have culture models available that are summarized here:

You can even set up models for ultra-rare diseases like epidermolysis bullosa, which while not autoimmune diseases in the classical sense, they display a barrier dysfunction that subsequently leads to a strong inflammatory component, in more detail described here:

In general, broad targeted analysis of the proteome (like in the Kragstrup paper) should help with the analysis of these (depending on your experimental choice) increasingly complex models.
