I wish to overlay histogram of a derived function (FL1/FL2) of different samples. However when I collected the data for the samples I had different number of events so now the histogram looks messy (some samples have total of 10,000 events others 20,000).
As dot plots I can control the number of events to be displayed. Is there the same parameter for histograms? For instance I want it to show me the histogram of 5000 randomly picked events for each sample.
Does changing the display type to modal essentially do the same thing?

Hi I had this exact same problem. If you have multiple histograms in a single plot on the layout editor:
This process normalizes the set of histograms to the mode of the set and make the plots all look the same height and makes the plots far easier to read!

Are you double clicking on the histogram of interest in the layout editor or the main window? The display settings are applied to the specific plot in the layout editor.

Your question may relate to standardizing the number of events. On Flowjo, you may go workspace then click plug in then downsample then enter the number of events you would need to analyze. Not sure I am responding to your question. Hope it may help
