I found in some protocols of TEAC assay that they use microplate reader to read the color. They use 5-10uL Trolox and 1ml ABTS+ solution. In my LAB, we don't have a microplate reader so can I use a UV spectrophotometer instead of microplate reader and put 15-30uL Trolox + 3ml ABTS+ in cuvet?
I appreciate any help that you can provide.
ABTS+ is green colored with a high extinction coefficient. UV-vis spectrophotometer is much better than a microplate reader.
