It depends what are you reusing the plates for. From my experience, most microplates can be reused, especially if you do not need sterile conditions. I would submerge the plates for a day or longer in the solution of protein denaturating, or other detergent water solution. Then I would wash the plates very thoroughly with the regular water and then with the distilled water. I would let plates dry for a day keeping them out of dust particles. I did testing of these plates by measuring the absorbances of the empty plates before reusing them. Also did tests by pipetting distilled water and performing the measurements. My conclusion would be that with this kind of procedure you can obtain very clean and reusable plates which would be most suitable for preliminary or inexpensive experiments.
