After doing column experiment I want to check its retention in the porous media through its section analysis. As nanoparticles retained what I should do to know its concentration in the sand.
Try powder XRD analysis for quantitative measurement. When compared to two standard samples of known composition, it will be easy to determine the retention amount for the rest.

But sir XRD will give the shape of the sample , how will the check the amount of nanoparticles in sand.
The key word being "quantitative analysis" like Rietveld refinement or just a simple phase % fit using an oem software such as highscore plus.
Firsthand one would analyse the break-through curve by analysing the permeate.
Additionally, you may wash content of column by dispersing the sand. Sand particles will settle by orders of magnitude faster than the nanoparticles.
But sir nanoparticles will also settle on sand then how can it be separated, to check its concentration . @titus

Nanoparticles will be 'extracted' with wash liquid, i.e. in fraction with particles not settled in seconds. Depending on precision required you may repeat washing several times.
