What is the best method for the digestion of TiO2 nanoparticles ?

I have tried digestion of different concentration of TiO2 nanoparticles by using HF. The result I am getting is not uniform/ consistence. Also I want to know how to get the retained TiO2 from sand particles.

Use concentrated H2SO4 and heat the mixture (TiO2 + H2SO4) at temperature 400 C. TiO2 will dissolve stirring at 500 rpm.

Caution: Its a very dangerous and exothermic reaction. One should perform this experiment in fume hood ONLY!
