I want to check number of publications on perovskites in one year, as for as google scholar is concern it gives unbelievable results, such as it shows more than one million publications in one year even some of them don't have even perovskite word.
For me Google Scholar shows 20,600 results since 2019:

Google scholar is a good search engine for research articles, but not so useful as an indexer. Consider using premium services for research databases like EBSCO, or Proquest. For free indexers, Microsoft academic and semantic scholar work great as well.
In my country I get:
a total of only 105 000 papers from Scholar. (94 900 if I omit patents and citation-onlys).
"Since 2019" gives 10 600
"Since 2018" gives 21 100
"Since 2015" gives 40 400
Which is all quite believable. The few I checked all had the target word in them.
