I have refer based on two articles there are two equation on how to calculate the vapor concentration Cg (ppm) inside the chamber :

1) C (ppm) =   C x V x d x R x T   x 10

                            Po x Vc x M

2) C (ppm) =     V x d x R x T   x 10^6

                              Po x Vc x M

Where:

C: Concentration of liquid analyte (wt%)

V: volume of liquid injected (ul)

R: universal gas constant (L atmK−1 mol−1)

T: absolute temperature (K)

M: molecular weight (g/mol)

Po: chamber pressure (atm)

Vc: volume of chamber (L)

d: density (g/ml)

My question is what does the x10 and x10^6 represent? Why there have two different value there?

Thanks
