For calculating optical conductivity you need reflection and transmission both as reflection can not always be neglected. From the absorbance data you can not separate transmission and reflection. Hence, from absorption data alone you can not calculate optical conductivity. Correction for reflection is necessary to get the right results.
For optical conductivity you must have absorption and transmission data both so first calculate transmission from the absorbance data and then try to calculate optical conductivity by subtracting the two data......
for calculating the optical conductivity from uv data you must have absorption date from which you can calculate transmission and absorption coefficient and from the same you can calculate extinction coefficient and from the both you can calculate easily optical conductivity by using formula …
I have a new formula that can give good results for your case. Please send me the absorbance against wavelength and will send the optical conductivity. Email: [email protected]
