Molecular clocks, fossil records and phylogenetic trees are important resources for this end but these do not look so accesible for direct timing application. I would like to know if there is a website, platform or something like to determine in a feasible and reliable way the likely antiquity of a gene sequence, e.g. from an ancient protist.
