Does anyone know how to combine run data from multiple plates into an analysis of a single experiment in the software provided by BioRad for real-time PCR analysis (CFX Manager -- we are using version 3.1)? Thanks!
To combine multiple runs for analysis, you need to use the Gene Study option. For this go to the program's main screen. Select File>New>Gene Study. On the Gene Study screen, select File>Add Data Files.
You can analyse the data on the 'Study Analysis' tab

I am using the same software for Gene study. My question is after you set youe control sample(untreated group) when you come to the result tab the p value is calculated differently than a normal 2-tailed ttest when you do in excel. Does anyone know why?
On the software if you go to Help>Search >P value>Data analysis formulas> Pvalue you can see how the software calculates.
As mentioned by Fatema, you use the Gene Study option for this. I would just like to add that you need to make sure that your sample and target names are exactly the same between the data files that you want to merge into a Gene Study. Also, it is worth checking the target stability value to determine the stability of your reference targets used in the runs. It is highly recommended to use at least 2 different reference targets.
