I'd like to use seedlings in liquid culture for gene expression studies and Westerns. I'm currently growing seeds on MS + 1% sucrose buffered with MES, and transferring them to liquid (same formulation) after they germinate. I'd appreciate any input from other researchers working with tomato, especially regarding the optimal media pH and reducing contamination.
