Hi everyone. I am doing some research about PEEK polymer and I need to add some values in ANSYS to make an analysis about viscous heating. I have the G'(w) and G''(w) from a DMA testing paper that I found, but my problem is based on how to add this on the model. I'm really new on the polymers topic so if you can also recommend a book I will appreciated it.

Prony series are used in ANSYS to represent viscoelasticity

Or, you do linear material model based on E = sqrt (E'^2 + E"^2) and damping ratio = 1/2*tan(delta) as temperature dependent.

Really, you may use simple Prony model (Prony series) to solve the viscoelasticity problem in ANSYS. One example of constants set is attached.

Thank you both for your answer. I read a few things, and I come up with a few more questions.
Based on what I read, I'm not quite sure if using Prony series will show the temperature dependency on the model. Do I have to take some creep test data to introduce on the program that also represents the temperature dependency?
i suggest u to change into abaqus, i wasted so many times in anasys and nothing fits because ansys doesn't support time models, but abaqus support it very well, wish u best
