A lot to do with foreign colleagues but still not clear on the guideline and mode of work. How can collaboration between researchers living in different countries be made perfect and produce a good outcome?
My cooperation with foreign colleagues, especially from countries such as Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, is much better than cooperation in my country, through projects, articles, books, etc. I expect cooperation with colleagues from other countries.
I think that is very possible by assigning each part of the research to one writer in advance. Also the they should agree about the method of analysis, titles and subtitles and the treatment of each topic. after finishing the paper, they should make a joint revision and exchange views about all issues before the paper reaches its final version and sent to be published.
I do think it fully depends on the thematic framework and the structural discipline.
Normally, always one person leads this communication process and others do follow. Pure networking does not work to the end as people are used to some hierarchy, in this case communicative leadership. Technically, enough free electronic platforms exist to initiate such research success. To sum it up: collaboration will not be successful without strong methodical and structural leadership. Take it as an anthropological fact or fail.
It is important to define clearly the objectives of the project. Next the role that each member plays has to be clearly and carefully defined. If it requires that Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval is needed in one or more of the countries it must be obtained so that there are no ethics issues. Thirdly a discussion of any funding issues must be brought to the table up front. Who is going to finance the project or at least portions of it? And lastly how would the results be disseminated? Are there patent-able aspects to the findings?
This is natural in terms of international cooperation. Joint research schemes, cooperating parties, their respective departments and the part concerned with the implementation of each part and equipment available in each region are studied. The research is conducted according to the availability of materials and equipment in the laboratories of each center

International collaboration may help in research and development which may be useful for various countries . It will help in bringing diverse view points as well as requirements at a common platform.
May be by team work or by the joint venture. Solving the problems of the Country industry through a research project is one the solutions that produce on outcome versus enhancing the Country economy.
Certainly possible! Ideally, establish regular communication schedules, share ideas openly and freely between group members, and keep open lines of access for questions or comments.
My cooperation with foreign colleagues, especially from countries such as Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, is much better than cooperation in my country, through projects, articles, books, etc. I expect cooperation with colleagues from other countries.
We live in the computer age & both the researcher have exchanged their study , views , & their working in a scientific manner thru the help of computer which have help them to establish a very cordial relation with each other .
It is in this line both the researchers the distance of their living & working environment may not disturb any of their working research process .
Successful modern research collaborations increasingly include scientists based in different countries. This is partially driven by the need to engage with interdisciplinary science, access innovative approaches to problem solving, and acquire expertise beyond that which your own research group covers. It is also a great way to establish a worldwide network of colleagues with a variety of backgrounds—scientific, cultural, or otherwise. While international collaborations can be very rewarding, both professionally and from a personal perspective, they come with distinct difficulties and pitfalls that one should be aware of a priori
I consider, that everything is part of attitude, definitely the desire to work, allow to break any barrier of participation, I think it is even more interesting to do research, since they develop points of view from different regions
The world now is a small village, easily accessible to everyone, only a need to organize and determine the responsibility of the research team members to achieve the appropriate result.
... the Internet and e-mail have become invaluable in the design of projects, providing the opportunity for easy exchange of drafts proposals between participants in different countries.
As well, the Internet permits the quick international exchange of data, while computers allow researchers at both ends to apply sophisticated analyses to such data.
Search engines permit literature reviews to be carried out, even without access to major libraries. And the Internet facilitates the joint preparation of scientific papers, in particular by providing the opportunity for the authors in different countries to comment on drafts.
It is difficult to have a “perfect” relationships between scholars working in the same university, let alone different countries. The only hope is to find common grounds and interests that could produce results through presistance, patience and trust. I have developed such relationships with other scholars in Egypt, UK and USA.

Great idea to work with highest academic researchers. I think exchange of ideas/concepts/views can be between anyone till it doesn't affect the integrity/ tranquility or nationality of any nation. I wish to collaborate/contribute for the sake of my knowledge and experience. It's good stage of global researchers who can/should share their knowledge/ experiences which can resultantly provide an opportunity to hone the skills and expertise .If we can formulate/frame norms to regulate the effective/efficient and worthfull global researchers platform then it would not only benift the RG members but it would help in development of interest/curiosity and enthusiasm in its members. So let us come forward and join hands for sake of goodness and correct right and updated place for international research fora.
I fully agree with Mercedes and Nihada. Almost always the collaboration with colleagues from other states is based on ethics and exclusive scientific interest. For these reasons and for the ease of understanding without prejudice, international callaboration is increasingly desirable.
It could be perfect as long as there is coordination between the collaborators. Having clearly defined research objectives and also an understanding between the members could bear optimum results.

Very possible to collaborate with colleagues from other countries; especially, in the light of the latest global communication means. The mean thing among the collaborators, whether the case is within your country or outside it, is to have clear objectives and work/task distribution.
For effective and continuing research collaboration, commonality of research area, complementing strength in research area, mutual trust, mutual respect and recognition of each other’s capabilities are important.
In order to develop an investigation, an adequate organization is needed. This possibility is provided by a research projects, where the objectives and tasks of research must be declared. These projects can be national or international, allowing the last one the participation of colleagues from other countries. However, in order to guarantee good results at work, you must have a good coordinator for the project. This person must control the fulfillment of the tasks of the project and maintain constant communication with all members . For this reason, the projects are widely used.
I think it depends on the kind of research. Is the collaboration doable? If yes, then each contributing researcher should have a to do list and deliverables clearly stated, with the lead researcher coordinating the team
It is often observed that the term "cooperation" in academic research means an equal partnership between two or more researchers, however, many collaborations are written by different researchers in different countries, funding status, and other organizations. This cooperation is useful for us to develop our research.
Thanks Dr Dawood Mahdi, Dr Emin Grbic, Dr Nihad Mohammed, Dr Ashok Pundir, Dr Muhammad Usman, Dr Yosvany Díaz Domínguez, Dr Akpovi Ominike, Dr Kofi Agyekum and Khalid Mohammed Breesem for your responses
I definitely agree with dear Nihada Ahmetovic , cooperation with foreign colleagues such as Poland, Ukraine, Australia, India, Egypt, Ghana and ....... is much better than cooperation in my country!!!!!!!! Hope to have found more friends and collaborators in my research fields.
As for scientists in developing countries, there are a number of reasons to collaborate with others in more scientifically advanced countries. For example, the collaboration can enhance their skills, give them access to resources and facilities, enable them to remain in contact with the latest advances in their fields and participate in international conferences, and increase their chance of publishing in international scientific journals.
When the research objectives are clearly spelt out and each researcher takes on a role in relation to his/ her expertise and skill. Again, every idea is important and should be respected (even if it doesn't sound right).
It seems that collaboration with other institutions and with other collaborators from different countries can be very useful. Personally, this proved to be desirable way of work. It is important to define goals, to set up dates, to distribute tasks, to start on time, … people are ready to take the responsibility and the outcome is quite often something innovative, or enhancing, even because different institutions having different organization structure/ culture/ ideas approach the same target.
Yes it is possible. The technology of communication make every thing available online for regular discussion . This type of research produce excellent benefit and outcome.
The benefits of multicenter trials include:
1. larger number of participants
2. different geographic locations
3. The possibility of inclusion of a wider range of population groups
4. The ability to compare results among centers.
all of which increase the generalizability of the study. In many cases, efficacy will vary significantly between population groups with different genetic, environmental, and ethnic or cultural backgrounds.
I follows many of a valuable answers that previously added by RG platform friends by which many possibilities, collaborations, and facilities can occur between foreign researchers.
Thanks Dr Alhassan Abdullah, Dr Kofi Agyekum, Dr Parisa Ziarati, Dr Djaafar Zemali, Dr Catia Cillóniz, Dr Abdulatheem Mushtaha, Dr Ali Almehemdi, Dr Mohammed Fadel, Dr Ghanshyam Singh, Dr Gloria Osei-Poku, Dr Shaban A A Abdel-Raheem, Dr Sanja Seljan, Dr Jelena Popovic-Djordjevic, Gamal Abdul Hamid and Dr Naseer Almukhtar for your responses.
Collaboration with scientists from other countries definitely increase the quality of your paper. I am very happy to work with my collaborator from Ghana Kofi Agyekum .
I have collaborated with colleagues around the globe, some of whom I have never met in person. Google docs and other technologies have been instrumental to our collaboration success.
I think collaboration between researchers living in different countries and working in similar research interests may yield great benefits. It's not a matter of guidelines but a matter of searching and approaching such scholars and building confidence between each other.
I think first you have to choose carefully your collaborator, second, a trust and confidence among the group is necessary, third organizing the ideas and duties and finally respect different opinions.
This is easily adopted through RG, Google Scholar and other research media. The origin belongs to collaboration then the financial issues are easily shared between colleagues.
When two researcher of different countries meet & discuss with their line of thinking in their research priority they come out with their fruitful discussion in their confirmed line .It is not the tuning of two person of a different countries but it is their tuning of mind which may help them to come in closed & so to say under proximity .
It is in this line they may express the line of thinking & fortunately in a present environment ,electronic equipment & media may help them to exchange their views in a perfect manner .
Researchers may divide the research into portions. Each one may be assigned to a particular chapter or portion. Thus, it is easily coordinated and treated.
Successful research collaborations are increasingly successful by resident scientists in different countries. This is in part because of the need to deal with interdisciplinary science and access to innovative ways to solve problems and gain experience beyond what your research group covers. It is also a great way to create a global network of colleagues with diverse backgrounds - scientific, cultural or otherwise.
