also. However, it you observe little deeper you will get different answer. Hence, there should be a proper explanation to differentiate both words. Let me to summarize it:

HLA typing - simply refers to the testing or typing of HLA in the given specimen. The HLA typing method may be a serological (phenotypic) or genotyping.

HLA genotyping - the term clearly excludes serological typing methods. Thus, the term restrict to HLA typing based on genomic material, simply DNA. It can be used for SSP, SSOP, RFLP, SBT methods.
