In almost all journals, it is optional to add remarks during submission about previous submissions of your manuscript to other journals or publishers. Do you leave any information there in case it is your, let's say, 5th submission? Maybe someone has experience as Editor about the importance of this information.

No, the best way never to mention these optional things. To me, the best way is to prepare manuscript according to the scope, standard and impact of the journal, to who you submitting you manuscript.
You are not supposed to submit exactly the same manuscript to more than one publisher at the same time. It is best to modify the manuscript in some way (either design or dataset or results) before each new submission.
