Do you know of any good non-intrusive ways of communicating updates to your research within the ResearchGate site to mimic the project update feature?
This question arises as Researchgate will discontinue the projects feature altogether on March 31, 2023 as announced at
https://www.researchgate.net/researchgate-updates/retiring-projects
and this decision is apparently final.
Nothing to do dear Artur Sergyeyev . I have already downloaded back-up of my projects. We should be patient.
I believe that RG will find the way, as they promissed.
"This year we plan to release multiple features to make it easy for you to share more updates about your work, discover new research, and engage with other people about the topics that matter most to you..."
In a meantime, one can use discussion via questions to communicate updates of their research.
Dear Ljubomir Jacić, with thanks may I suggest the following way to implement the idea on using questions: to make a specific question for the project and (possibly) use the answers for updates? What do you think?

Dear Ljubomir Jacić : it could also be a good idea to back up your projects using a web archiving service like https://archive.ph or https://web.archive.org so that there is an archived version of the projects in question with links to archives that you can share with everyone interested.
IMPORTANT WARNING: statistical data like the number of reads, recommendations and followers apparently are not part of the RG-provided project backup, so to save these statistical data one should save the project log in HTML (or e.g. print it to PDF) and/or use web archiving services like https://archive.ph or https://web.archive.org for the project's main page.

dear respected Prof Dr Artur Sergyeyev are you sure this link works fine?
The link in question is not perfect, so if you know the name or the URL of a specific project it is better to search on https://web.archive.org using those.
The link https://archive.is/https://www.researchgate.net/project/* is better in this respect but it appears that some projercts were only archived on on https://web.archive.org.
I have just checked and the link https://archive.is/https://www.researchgate.net/project/* works for me as it should.
