i am trying to simulate a solar drying chamber in Ansys Fluent. Hot air enters the chamber and inside the chamber there are products with high moisture content. The hot air need to carry the moisture from the product. There is also direct solar radiation onto the products. Is there a way of doing this in Fluent or i have to write own UDF code? Anyone to help or refer tutorials with similar problems
It is possible to model something representative of your particular scenario with Fluent' Standard evaporation model, however the Fluent model used is based upon the energy balance equation and as such has some limitations, but could serve as a reasonable initial representation.
For more accurate modelling a UDF would be indeed be required in order to model temperature and species gradients (if species are required).
I can't direct you to any examples of your particular problem but I have participated in some work which describes the limitations of the Fluent Evaporation model.

Which species gradient are you referring to? It is basically a model of products drying inside a chamber. blowing hot air over the products whose moisture content is high and will need to be lowered as air (at high temperature, velocity, and low humidity) passes through
