Hi everyone,
to my great surprise I have just spent the better half of a day looking unsuccessfully for basic user statistics (number of active users per year and country) of major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube), unfortunately to no avail.
I am intending to analyse the drivers of social media for the current "techlash", e.g. regulation attempts by national governments, for which a measure of penetration by the respective networks is obviously a very important variable.

Does the World Bank do not conduct such analyzes and does not publish data on this subject?
