Hello, the infection pattern of CHIKV infection in C6/36 cells will be rounding and detachment of cells which usually takes 40-48 hrs.

I suggest you to use Vero cells (ATCC: CCL-81) which shows the same morphological changes of cell rounding and detachment in 40-48 hrs.

Later for quantification of virus also you can use Vero cells for plaque assay and TCID 50 which gives very good results in 48 hrs.
