I am looking for a spheroid formation protocol that works well with MDA-231 breast cancer cells. I've been trying to use the Trevigen protocol (from Cat #: 3500-096-K, Page 1) and other methods (simple plating of cells in ultra low attachment round bottom plating only, Cat#: CLS7007-24EA) but have had limited success. Any recommendations on how to form spheroids for invasion assays would be greatly appreciated!

MDA-MB-231 does not form real spheroids(Mammospheres). It forms fast replicating cell aggregates which start declining in size within 7 days in culture. Look up the literature.
