I’m preparing the total cell suspension from the human lung tissue; that contains macrophages, DCs and alveolar epithelial cells. I want to isolate the resident lung macrophages from the other cell types, but I’m unable to find some specific surface markers for macrophages that distinguish them DCs.

To be honest: there is no real good marker for human alveolar cell, not to mention lung tissue macrophages. Try to remove all non-macrophages cells may be the best option. Or wash away all (if possible!) alveolar macrophages, digest the tissue and the macrophages are mainly tissue macrophages (see 1. Pechkovsky et al. Effect of proinflammatory cytokines on interleukin-8 mRNA expression and protein production by isolated human alveolar epithelial cells type II in primary culture. Eur Cytokine Netw 2000: 11(4): 618-625). DC might be detected by CD123 or CD11c(high).
