Hello everyone. I am conducting a PCA on questions of likert scale type.

According to the literature (e.g. Costello and Osborne, 2005), when the component correlation matrix has any values greater than .32 (therefore some components are correlated), then the rotation method should be oblique.

SPSS offers two methods for oblique rotation: direct oblimin and promax. The default delta for direct oblimin is 0 and the default Kappa = 4 for promax.

How should I decide which method to use and which value to put as delta or kappa?

Thank you in advance for your answers.
