Hello everyone.
we are working on synthetic polymer for gene delivery, where buffering capacity is important factors for gene transfection. buffering capacity is given by following equation.
Buffering capacity= (∆H polymer-∆HNaCl )/(mole of N (no of amines group in the polymer) ) ×100
Where ∆H polymer ∆HNaCl represent the moles of HCl required to bring the pH from 7.4 to 5.4, and N is the total number of amine groups in the polymer.
So my question is how to determine the number of amine group in the polymer. my question is very basic, but I did not find any explanation for it. thanks in advance for adding your answer.
