How to calculate the impact factor
Сan you see the differences between a journal impact factor (IF) and a personal citation index (CI)?
If yes:
1) Go to the web page of the journal of your interest and take a look on it carefully.
For example here (http://www.nature.com/icb/index.html) IF is 4.2
2) Go to the Scopus (http://www.scopus.com/home.url) or Web of Science® (http://www.isiknowledge.com), get a subsription and have a fun with your CI.
If no:
1) Googling will help you.
2) Dean of your faculty must organize the special сourse of Bibliometrics.
