It's a carbon sample (powder form) derived from a biomass source after carbonization. No activation or post treatment. I know the peaks at ~25 and 43 correspond to C(002) and C(100) but the other four peaks particularly the peaks at 33.8 and 35.7 have got me stumped. Thanks

The interpretation of the XRD pattern of carbon may be complicated because carbon can appear in different forms such as graphite, graphene, diamond, fullerene, etc. in matter. My best suggestion to you is to study the XRD pattern of carbon beside analysis such as FTIR and XRF and Raman.
For example the peak at about 33 degree can be due to presence of fullerene.
Using EXPERT software is very useful.

Yes, temperature is an important parameter in formation of different forms of carbon.
