I usually cut cryo sections of mouse sciatic nerve at servile postnatal stages, but detaching happens only with P1 slices. I guess it is because those sections are extremely small and have low adhesive force, but I really need to keep them on the slide since I have to run FISH on them.

How do you keep your slides after sectioning? Do you let them dry before storing them? Also, you may considerer coating with TESPA (3-(Triethoxysilyl)propylamine) rather than PLL, has worked for me in the past for difficult sections.
You can also use the precoated/charged slide as I am using STARFROST Knittel Glass slides. You can search them on Lieca microsystem website.

I do not know how you preserve/fixed those tissues. However if they are fixed well, you should use positively charged slides to pick sections on water. If you can't get it, then use egg albuminized slides. Get the slides air dried after sections are streched in prewarmed water and then Keep slides at 60°C at least for 2 hours before staining. I believe it will work.
