HCR Protocol for SARS-CoV-2 N Gene Amplification?

I am stuck with my HCR protocol. I am trying to amplify a gene using a Hybridization Chain Reaction and H1 and H2 Probes. However, all my attempts have proved unsuccessful as the best result I am getting is smears on the gel.

Would you recommend a tried protocol that I can consider?
