Last year one of my papers was accepted in three days by an Elsevier journal. However, before I submitted it to the Elsevier journal, it had been submitted to several other journals one by one. Therefore, we can not say it was accepted in three days.

In mathematics, generally it is a very long period to successfully publish a paper.

The longest I have personally experienced is 19 months (i.e. between submission and editorial decision).

Not so long time in comparison to 13 years! (as mentioned by Dr. Gomaa). Regards

Title usually represent the content of the paper. I believe the title of the paper should be fairly in between but there is no standardization. Title can be as long or short as it took as long as it represent the primary components in the research

Still the paper mentioned above has the shortest publication time (23 days from submission to final publication). That paper you mentioned took 28 days.

Got a question, might not be related to the thread. But I have sent a publication to the Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, sent the 12 of October, till, now, no answer, surprisingly, it has been under a moth that the status says... "Editor Declined Invitation" , anyone else had similar experience? Already texted the journal, but no solution or reply for the issue. Thanks in advance!

I think one of the interesting articles, is an article on a possible medical treatment for COVID-19. Researchers were monitoring response to proposed medications up to 16th of March 2020, and then the article was available officially from the publisher website on 20th March. As provided in a preprint, the article was received in "16th of March" and accepted on "17th of March" and finally available online on "20th March" !

The most-cited paper of all time is a paper by Oliver Lowry describing an assay to measure the concentration of proteins. It had accumulated more than 305,000 citations so far.
