I have performed a cycloheximide treatment on HEK 293 cells (10 ug/ml CHX for 1 h, no FBS in the medium) and then I've performed a confocal immunofluorescence protocol. Nuclei are stained with Hoechst (I have same results after DAPI staining).
Have you ever seen something like that? I mean, I did not expect nuclear enlargement and the presence of so well-defined nucleoli (?)...
Can this be addressed only to the treatment itself?

I think fact checking / trouble shooting is always difficult if there exist no comparable papers with (to the most part) same material and at least a very similar method of treatment/ staining. Admitting not to have practical expericence with the technique(s) you have used BUT to have interest in your problem (the provided image with regard to its "composition" seems gorgious to me) I tried to verify and eventually second Viola Calabros reply by a specific google search

In 2019 I got similar photos for my treated cells I even called them Zombies nuclei.If you got accurate explanation for this let us know I will read the suggested articles.Thanks
