Thanks Maxim, yes my idea is to find out the research trend in LIS by using co-occurrence of word, also visualize the data by clustering. i have downloaded the data from scopus in excel and deleted the unwanted data and i am also adding manually few data from journal which are not covered by scopus.
i am looking for tool which help me to analyse the co-occurence of word from title word or keyword and visualise the same too.
i am heard about vosviewer but not used yet, will be greatful for your suggestion on this regard.
Hello Maxim Kotsemir , i am looking for a tool which will do the co-word analysis (co-occurrence of term) by taking data from scopus or excel.. if Vosviewer will serve that purpose will happy , can you advice me how to work on Vosviewer for the above analysis...my email id is [email protected]
I agree with Maxim. Vosviewer is probably the easier software to do co-word analisys using Scopus, Wos or even plaint text. I've used it in several works with a very good results. The layout, visualizations and clustering algorithm are ones of the best that you can find, even ben free avalilable.
Thanks Benjamin, i was just exploring the vosviewer and had done some testing. one thing just want to know when i am using co-occurrence analysis by taking scopus data its by default has title and title abstract. i am wondering can we do the same thing by taking keyword only through not using scopus but vosviewer corpus (the first tab) where the keyword are from scopus but add in a separate text file.
