I have used it and it is a good one. Sometimes it depends on the size of the plasmid you are isolating. You can directly contact Qiagen and i think they will tell you whether your plasmid size is a good match with their kit.
Have used it umpteen times...never had a problem. If you wish, you could try similar kits from Fermentas, or Nucleo-pore SureSpin kit from Genetix (Indian).
I used this kit many times without having any problem. One suggestion: while eluting in the last step use the half of volume that is mentioned in the kit manual.
I have not experienced significant issues before when following the protocol as stated; although there has been some variance in DNA yield. My yield has been higher when having left the filtered lysate on ice while waiting for it to enter the resin by gravity flow. Also, warming of the elution buffer may help with yield.
